If you’ve been following nursery design trends, you’ll know that sage green is a major color right now! We’ve gotten so many requests for nursery designs with sage green included, not only for gender neutral, but for both girl nurseries and boy nurseries. This client reached out to us wanting a virtual design for her son with dark wood nursery furniture and lots of sage green!

The biggest feature here is of course the wallpaper. This room was fairly large and very bland. There’s beige carpet and big white walls. So we wanted to include a fun safari wallpaper to really liven up the space! The pattern we chose is fully customizable, so we actually added the sage green (the original had a cream background).

To bump up the contrast and add more warmth, we chose a warm walnut crib and dresser. We kept the glider neutral and then balanced it with a neutral bench by the window. Because the wallpaper had so many colors in it, we were able to bring in hints of other colors and wood tones as well as natural textures for a balanced feel overall.

The client owned a black ceiling fan and wanted to keep it, so we balanced that black by including a black bookcase and a black side table. There was also a hint of black in the wallpaper, so it all tied together in this safari nursery!
