A few weeks ago, we revealed this Feminine Blush & Floral Nursery for a Virtual Design client, and now we’re revealing her other child’s nursery design! She hired me to work on both designs, but of course we started with the nursery for the baby on the way since that’s the one with the tighter timeline.
For her existing daughter’s room, she had a much larger space and wanted to design something really bright and fun. This space was so large we had to break up the design board into two parts, which you can see below. We started with the wallpaper since that’s the biggest design element of this space. After looking at lots of options, we settled on this floral stripe wallpaper with customizable colors. Having the ability to change the colors was a game changer!
This room also had a lot of molding and a vaulted ceiling soffit, so we wanted to take advantage of that and paint the molding a soft pink to match the wallpaper. She already owned her crib, dresser, and bookcases, so we worked the rest of the design around those pieces.
Since the room was large, we had plenty of extra space to add a nice big blush chair for reading, and some adorable accent furniture like the blue scalloped side table, blush pink ottoman and large stuffed elephant. We were also able to add scalloped wall ledges on either side of the window to bring in that scallop accent and give her some book display in addition to her storage units.
We finished off this design with custom blackout drapery, sweet peony artwork, a big light blue rug, fun modern lighting and even a quirky pink planter pot. We can’t wait to see how this colorful nursery design comes together!
