It’s been wild to witness the rise of Studio McGee, from their design studio to Netflix show and beyond! Now that they have a furniture and home decor line, we get tons of clients asking for nursery designs using their pieces, or that style in general. This nursery design below is packed full of this style and we just love how all the pieces work together.

We wanted this nursery design to showcase the architecture of the home. With a vaulted ceiling and gorgeous wood beams, we had a great blank canvas. Since the back wall had such a nice height, we decided to use wallpaper there as an accent wall. We used a gorgeous blue botanical wallpaper with a neutral background.

The warm wood crib really brings out the ceiling beams and the wood floor. We love highlighting these natural wood tones, and balanced them throughout the space. To add a little contrast, we chose a slate blue dresser which also coordinates with the wallpaper.

Since the window frames in this room are black, we decided to bring in a few darker details for balance as well. The side table, dresser lamp and curtain hardware are all darker colors to help anchor the space. And of course, we added blackout curtains on all the windows for maximum light protection. The curtain fabric is a natural linen texture with a warm color to add warmth to the space.

Instead of a traditional nursery glider, we went with a super cozy boucle chair that the client loved. It also has a natural wood accent at the bottom. We paired that with a pretty striped ottoman for comfort. The chandelier, storage hamper and throw blanket bring in some more natural texture, while the floor plant and small table plant bring in the greenery! We just love how this nursery design turned out.
