We work with a lot of virtual nursery design clients and oftentimes end up using a crib from one brand and a glider from another, but sometimes a brand comes along that has it all—the perfect wood crib, a wide dresser with lots of storage and a comfortable glider with all the perks. When I was asked to create a nursery design using just furniture from Nurture&, I jumped at the chance!

For the design above, I wanted to keep things neutral and serene. The Newport Crib comes in a ton of fun colors, but I chose the classic wood tone for this design. For the dresser, I wanted to coordinate the color, but chose a different style so the room isn’t too matchy-matchy. The Aspen Large Dresser works perfect here, and has the changing tray added on top.
For the glider, Nurture& has a lot of options. I went with the Glider Plus, which has a power reclining function, built-in USB and adjustable headrest. And let me tell you, that power recline function is so helpful! Choosing a great glider in the nursery is one of the most important decisions you can make. I’ve had clients tell me time and time again that the glider was their best purchase.
To really make this nursery design pop, I chose a beautiful bird themed wallpaper with gold sparrows. Because it has a white background, it won’t overwhelm the room. Then I brought in some natural textures, like the woven storage bin, and some more light woods to balance the furniture, like the side table and floor lamp.
To finish off the design, I pulled in some beautiful artwork. Because the wallpaper has birds in it, I wanted to mirror that somewhere else in the room. I chose some adorable bird art prints that are sweet but minimal. To give the room just a touch of drama, I chose a moody neutral cloud print to go above the crib.
