If you’ve been a follower of Little Crown for a while, you’ll know that I absolutely love green. It’s a color that doesn’t show up in a lot of nursery designs, so whenever we find great products in this color, it’s very exciting. This Virtual E-Design client wanted to use some touches of dark green, and my little designer heart soared.

This client wanted a gender neutral nursery design that was warm with earthy tones and rich colors. She wanted to take the more traditional neutrals and bump them up a little. We always start with the nursery floor plan to make sure that everything will fit correctly, and luckily we didn’t have any major challenges in this space.

We chose the crib wall for the wallpaper accent, and it’s such an amazing pattern! We went with a warm neutral geometric pattern with lots of movement. We balanced that with a softer neutral rug and a few art pieces with a subtle safari theme.

Neutral Safari Nursery E-Design with Bold Dark Green Accents

We kept the nursery furniture in light natural wood tones. The Nestig Wave crib is one of our favorites, and it works so well in this space. This crib is convertible all the way from a bassinet to a toddler bed, so it’s a great piece with longevity.

To add in that pop of bold color our client wanted, we chose a dark green dresser to use as the changing table. It also has great gold accents, which we also used throughout the nursery design. We found some gorgeous green blackout curtains as well, and used those to balance the dresser. It’s hard to see in the design board, but the curtains actually have a stunning gold woven pattern in them!

We added in some fun accents to pull the space together, like the arched bookcase, glass bubble chandelier, and asymmetrical wall mirror. The nursery feels warm and inviting, and we can’t wait to see how it comes together.
