Gone are the days where baby blue is the king of boy’s nurseries. There are so many design options now for nurseries, and more subtle and sophisticated colors are trending, to the delight of interior designers everywhere! Like our recent post on sage green nursery decor, slate blue is a versatile color that can almost work as a neural. It’s a great choice for any nursery, although we have been getting lots of requests for this color in gender neutral nurseries.

One of our most popular nursery E-Designs is our Neutral & Slate Blue Board & Batten Nursery. It’s a more modern design using slate blue on the accent wall. However, if you are designing a more traditional nursery, this shade of blue will work beautifully as well. Whether you are looking to design a slate blue nursery or just want to add some slate blue decor, we have some inspiration for you. Take a look below at some of our favorite slate blue nursery decor and furniture.

2. Blue & Gold Mirror: This rectangular mirror is the prettiest shade of blue and has a gold foil detail. It’s a transitional piece that will blend seamlessly with a range of styles. We love the detail on the corners!

3. Seagrass Wallpaper: We love wallpaper at LCI and this textured seagrass wallpaper is both stunning and timeless. It comes in both peel and stick or traditional wallpaper versions.

4. Organic Quilted Blanket: This is a gorgeous quilted organic blanket in slate blue tones, sand and creams. It would be perfect for a gender neutral nursery, or for adding coastal vibes to a room.

5. Blue Scallop Wall Ledges: Book ledges are almost a must-have in nursery design. They are convenient for book storage and also allow you to display pretty book covers. These wall ledges have an adorable scallop detail in a more bold and deep slate blue.

6. Slate Blue Non-Toxic Paint: This pretty paint color is a high quality and a zero VOC paint—it’s also Green Guard Certified! Whether you opt to paint the nursery ceiling, the whole room or just few accents, we always recommend you go with a non-toxic paint.

7. Blue Leather Pennant: We love unique artwork for a nursery, and this custom suede pennant is so cute. Custom order a name sign for a sweet keepsake and give your nursery a fun retro feel.
